Homelink Garage Door Opener No Worky

1999, 2014 WORK, 2002, 2008 DON'T!
I USED to LOVE Mercedes-Benz!
I have 1999 E320 (Homelink working PERFECTLY)...
2003 C240 (Homelink WON'T record same remotes' codes).
2008 S500 (Homelink WON'T record same remotes' codes).
2014 C250 (Homelink DOES record same remotes' codes).
Even took S500 into dealer... Service advisor "thinks" it should work (but, clearly, doesn't)!
Did Mercedes REALLY break Homelink between 1999 and 2014 - and those of us with cars built between those years are STUCK with no options?!

Look... does the remote still work with the garage opener ?
Clear all old codes - press both "outside" buttons on the mirror simultaneously/hold down until indicator light changes.
Reclone remote to mirror... then ...
Call Homelink customer service - to keep your wait times down - call them in the morning at earliest office hr - you can find the tell on their internet homepage
