Wheel question re: offsets

I have a 99 E320 that has the factory wheels that I'm not crazy about. I wanted to stay with 16" and liked the wheels that came on the stock E430 models (not the sport model).
I went on ebay and was able to find some wheels here and there from 3 different sellers (couldn't quite find a set from one seller). Anyway now that I have all the wheels, I've noticed they aren't all identical.

2 are MB factory wheels that are 7.5 x 16 and have offset of ET41

1 is also MB factory wheels that is 7.5 x 16 with offset ET35

1 is a TSW replica that is also 7.5 x 16 and ET35 (seller did not accurately represent wheel as being replica)

They all look alike and I want to mount them. Will I encounter any problems? Should I mount the et41 on the front or rear due to any aesthetic reason. Need help from anyone knowledgeable about this. Thanks!

Put the ET35s on the back to give it a more "staggered" look. By doing so, you effectively space the rear wheels out 6mm. Neither offset is particularly aggresive.

I would not mix and match replica wheels with OEM wheels or ones from another Benz model even if they look alike. Have the seller give you the MB part number that is stamped inside each wheel. Why stay with the 16" wheels if you are ready for a change? Check out the wheel specs from the owners manual.

Talking offsets.......

What up guys,

My name is Omid and I own an '02 CLK430. I recently purchased the Lorinser LM5 style wheels 19x8.5 with 235/45ZR19 tires. I have yet to put them on however. I live in the DC area, and was waiting for the winter to be over before I installed them. I was just wondering if I should get spacers (if so, what kind and what specs?) or if I should just cut my bolts shorter. I was told I could do either or, however wanted to take the correct route instead of just guessing. The wheel states it has an offset of ET38, but everytime I look for spacers online they come in sizes like 40mm. Does ET38 mean that I need 38mm ? If I were to get spacers, what size do you recommend? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks guys!

You should ask your question on the W208/CLK message board. Not too many of us are knowledgeable about what wheel sizes/offsets fit the CLK.

I took a look on TireRack for approximate offset sizes for your car. The wheels will fit just fine on the rear without spacers. It looks like the front wheels may need to be somewhere between ET30 and ET35. If this is true, you would need spacers in the range of 3mm (to get to ET35) to 8mm (to reach ET30).

It's possible ET38 will fit in front without spacers, but I don't know.
