help!

This morning on my way to work, I drove my 2001 E 320 4matic through some 5 inch deep water making a pretty big spash. On the other side, when I applied my brakes, I got three malfunctions, ABS, BAS, and ESP. All recommending that I go to a workshop. I have only owned the car for a month and it has 35,000 miles. I assume the sensors all got wet, but my question is will the malfunctions go away or do I have to take it to a shop? If I take it to a shop what will they do? I did not buy the car at a MB dealer, but I do have full warrenty which I have never used. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Incidently I am in Princeton NJ and we had over 5 inches of rain this morning...what a mess.

Maybe you guys all knew this, but I just went out afater a half hour and started the car and all the malfunctions were gone. So I guess sensors dried out. One more question. I did not notice and change in the braking after the malfuctions were displayed. Is that normal?

This maybe related or not... In the last couple of weeks, I have traveling down a street with multiple speed bumps, although not through puddles, I have been getting the same error messages after running through this street. From memory and searching through this forum, the brake light switch maybe going out. Although, the wet sensor theory may apply more to you.

I have the exact same car as yours and had the exact same problem about 6 months ago. At first mine also went away after shutting the car down ( apparently it reboots the computer) but then it came back a month later. There is one main sensor connected to all three lights that they replaced and now it works fine. If your under warranty you should not have any worries, and even if it's not covered it wasn't that expensive ( about 500 dollars). I LOVE the car, how about you?
