diagnostic connectors
Why does my 01 w210 have two diagnostic connectors.
there is a round diagnostic connector in the engine compartment's fuse box ,
and there is a standard obd II connector under the dash driver side.

The Late W210s have two posts..The Round one at the fuse box will work with the OLD Hand held tester..The Star will work on both with adapters into the Under dash OBD2 port

They'll use the OBDII receptacle since it's generic.. to answer your question the one under the steering wheel.

Another connector question?
What is the large multi-pin connector in the trunk for? It looks like the old RS-232 connectors on the back of a PC. I thought it might be a diagnostic port.
