w210 E300 LED Fog lamps --- Pix

Converted my fog lamps from an H1 base to an 1157 - Since I added the HID retrofit the fog lamps have been useless. I yearned for some yellow lamps for the city lights like on the 300D's. But I also love the amber DRL on the CTS's, so I figured I try to make the fog lights like those on the CTS -

Enjoy! The city lights also have an amber LED. Yes, I get the lamp malfunction. Still working on elliminating that malfunction.

Looks very unique Mich, love the Euor plate too Can't you just get those voltage equalizers to eliminate the light malfunction signals?

I am under the assumption you can. I know there is only one fuse for the fog lamps so I am thinking I can get away with using only one of those regulators. I'm also toying with the idea of taking that LED look to the next level. Getting say a piece of ABS plastic, cutting it to fit the inner contour of the glass / the inner housing of the fog lamp, removing the reflector inside and installing a bunch of those small LED's as used for the city light. I'll leave it as is for now and see how it works out.

Can't see them in the day time. Night time they look SWEET!

One main reason I chose the LED's is so I won't have to worry about replacing bulbs that burn out. I assume these LED's should last a long time.

I love the AMBER on the CTS's
