Has anyone dealt with a power steering leak?

My '97 has a small leak coming from the box where the steering column attaches to the steering rack. Has anyone had this issue before?

get it checked out.......it might be nothing but if it does get worst then you might need to change the steering rack.......not cheap btw.......

does your steering wheel make any noises when turning it when the car's cold?
you can add fluid to it and see what happens....

I had the same problem at 98k miles. It got worse quickly and I replaced the rack. $450 for a rebuild rack and $500 labor.

Not tleaking much at this point. No unusual noises. The leak seems to be above the steering rack where the power steering lines go in and out of the steering box just under where the steering column goes into the box. There are two reverse torx bolts with large washer shaped covers right where the oil is dripping from. It seems if I could remove those covers there would be some sort of O-ring that can be replaced.

thats a good idea, it could be a o-ring that needs to be replaced otherwise have it checked out, but its nothing too serious...
