doors locking
I know these cars have a feature of locking the doors once you drive away over 9MPH.. Mine doesnt do it. The key fob does open and close the windows and sunroof etc etc. But I want the doors to lock when I drive away. Does anyone know what I need to do besides going to the dealer. I have tried a search bnut didnt find anything.. Thanks in advance.. AA...

The description of how to activate/deactivate automatic door locking is described on page 143 of the 2003 owner's manual. This is controlled from the Vehicle submenu of the Settings menu controlled by the left buttons in the steering wheel.

Thanks Jimpurdy, but my car is a 2001 and I looked at my manual and it said to hold down the door lock but it didnt seem to work. So I thought there might be another way or anyone here knew of another way. Thanks again.

Sorry about the instructions for 2003. I have an '03 and a '00. Now, from the '00 book - page 36
To activate:
With the electronic key in steering lock position 2, hold upper portion of switch (1) for a minimum of 5 seconds. - (that is the central locking switch on the console)
To deactivate:
With the electronic key in steering lock position 2, hold lower portion of switch (2) for a minimum of 5 seconds.
