Only one type of Comand for the W210?
Hi, I was wondering if its possible to install one of the nicer looking Comands in the W210 model. I have a 1997 E290TD, or is there only the square looking Comand that will work? How about a multi-button steering wheel? I really would love to get that on my dads car for his 50th birthday. Comand and Multi Wheel. Any help is apriciated. Thanks.

Mercedes Makes TWO different Comands for the W210..One for Japan and The (OTHER) style for the rest of the world..Features will vary between them
The Japan comand has the climate control in it and looks different!..One will need the Japan comand and replacement wood panel and LOTS of mods to the wire harness...Oh and Good LUCK if you want one (JAPAN COMAND)..I have tried for several years to get one
The Rest of world W210 comand is what you are looking for Either US or EURO version..
The Model Update Steering Wheel (Multifunction)CAN be fitted into the Early W210s..With a Replacement Instrument cluster..
