Integrated Phone
I have an '02 E-Class w/an integrated phone; COMAND; and voice activation. There was no phone w/the car when I bought it. It has a hook-up for a Motorola V60i that looks like it came from the factory right in the arm rest.
I am a T-Mobile customer (GSM based phone service). Can I get a replacement phone "off the rack"? I have tried the MBenzNL.com website, but they want to sell me the whole phone unit when I don't need it. What can I do to be able to use this cool integrated phone?

You WILL Need a Phone/cradle/PSE/...to make it work
The car is prewired..but does NOT have the pieces installed...

Get the Mikbox
Look like your car already have PSE/Compensator/VCM. Just get the Mikbox. www.mikbox.com
With V60 you should have autosense type PSE module.
Don't go with MBNL, try mikbox. It took me only 1 hour to install the Mikbox and new Mikbox phone cradle for my V551 from Cingular. It work like a charm.
Don't forget to ground your PSE/Compensator and mounting bracket [left side of your trunk, behinde the liner] to car frame, otherwise you may get some humming noise for GSM phone.
Also during the next service at your dealer, tell dealer to enable phone function on your instrument cluster. From factory you will only get phone book and caller ID display on your head unit, but not on your instrument cluster. Dealer can enable this funciton for your for $0.
Mikbox with delivery is $358, driving your car with phone and hand free VCM is PRICELESS!
