I am glad that MB took care of your car and mine... You can check out my previous post. The rusted parts were nasty and VERY unsafe. I hope that nobody will be killed because of this and MB will be sued BIG TIME

I just called MBUSA and my local Milwaukee dealer- both said no recall.
I had this problem and had it fixed by my local indie.
The dealer said "I can submit a letter with the bill and they will review on case by case blahblah..." Basically no payback until there is an actual recall.

ZStig... I am NOT aware of any recall related to rusty spring perches of 210.. I am very upset at MB for this safety related issue. It looks like MB will fix it case-by-case, in my case one of the spring perches almost separated from the chassis, it could have killed me and MB would be in for a HUGE legal problem... I enjoy driving my MB, I am glad that MB fixed it for me,,, but with this safety problem and several complaints about MB quality on the website, I am afraid that MB won't get a second chance from me.
