I have a 2001 E430 and I was thinking of adding a ski pass-through. I looked in the trunk behind the felt covered cardboard wall and saw that the metal seat has the pass through rectangular hole in it. Has anyone made done this mod, if so any thoughts or pics?

 

You can't put anything thru from the trunk to the rear seats of the car, the gas tank stands up vertically right across the back.
