labor charge.

Just curious. The Princeton MB dealer has a posted labor charge of $99.50 an hour. What are the rates in your area? My friendly mechanic charges $45.

Mercedes of Austin: ranges from $67-$110, "depending on the nature and difficulty of the repair"
Mercedes of Georgetown (10 miles north of Austin): $95 /hr
Ben's workshop (highly competent indy shop in austin - only does Mercedes): $80
Phoenix Motorworks (Indy European shop - $78)
Groovy Automotive (good indy for 124 work. no experience with 210 or others) - $70

Not sure about the dealer here in Atlanta but I found a guy that does only MB and is a certified mechanic for $80 an hour.
