How much is a 100k service, and what's included?

How much is a 100k service, and what's included?

My buddy has an 01 E430 will 100k and he wants to take it to the dealer. The car has never been serviced and needs brakes on all four corners. What would be the average cost for a 100k service? Also what all is included in this service?
Thank you

All dealers I've seen only have 7.5, 15, and 30k service intervals, priced at up to $550 for the 30, 60, 90k intervals. For this, they do an oil change, some fuids, and "check" a long list of things essentially. It is not worth it, IMHO.

If you really mean the car has never been serviced after 100k, oh dear! Get a tranny flush right away. Also, worn belts, etc etc will be on the menu. The dealer will salivate when this thing roles up. Expect an estimate of 1-2 thousand, up to 20 thousand, depending on the size of his boat payment.

Ok, I inflate it somewhat, but be prepared. My advice is for your friend to find a German car independant and have him have a look.

When I took mine to the dealer, they basically did the 30K service.
You have to pay extra to get the tranny service which I would recommend.

The dealer will ALWAYS find something else that you may not be aware about.
They will say you need a new ___________. This is one reason I dont like going to the dealer. There is no way that I can verify that I need to replace this item right now. On the other hand if you go to an Indy, they may not know what to look for so the key is to find a good MB Indy that is honest.

If there is a good MB indy in the area, I would recommend going there to save money.

Thanks guys, what do you think the dealer would charge for fluid change, 16 new plugs, tranny flush, new rotors and pads?

I'd guess $1500 on the low side, assuming you mean only brakes on one axle.
