What # fuse for Audio 30 Radio
Does anyone know what # fuse goes in the back of the Audio 30 radio thats on a 01 E430. It's a cassette player that and the cassette slot is behind the display.
I'm trying to put my stock radio back after a year and don't remember what # fuse I removed from the back of the radio when I kept it in storage. I'm guessing it's a 20.
I was asking about the fuse that goes directly in the back of the stereo, next to the CD changer DB2 cable and not the fuse box in the hood.
update: okay, I just sold my Audio 30 to another board member so unable to
confirm. but my replacement Audio 10 is very similar in power demand uses
10amp blade. have queried the buyer and if he responds, i'll relay rating.
answer from buyer of my Audio 30: 10 amp fuse

BTW where did you buy the audio 10 from? I see some on ebay but they are located in Germany.
Perfectmarket (seller) has them on Ebay
You shouldn't have to pay more than $300 tops unless the market is dry.
Never a good idea to bump up the fuse rating. In the case of radio, it's
probably not going to fry. But when you get a chance, do insert a 10.
Electronics are heat/volt sensitive and dont need any uneccessary stress.
