Huy would be the guy with more hands-on experience here. I fly by
the seat of pants and not having a much exposure to the various projectors,
I'd have to hold it in my hand (go 'duh') and look at the headlight assembly I'm trying
to fit the puppy into. From the photos you posted earlier, I remember thinking
"good lord!" and glad that I wasn't attempting to perform the retro you have.

My E320 Depo v E55 was a cakewalk...a beginner's delight. Your's will require
a bit more imagination and creativity. So with all the info that Zam has
provided thus far....(above)

over on HIDPlanet, someone(s) has compiled a buttload of projectors and
posted their dimensions. I think I saw it on HID University. I'm highlighting
this because it matters little how colorful and neat a projector is if it wont
fit into your housing easily. You also want to see how the proj mount matches
up to your headlight housing and what it will take to replicate mount points,
design beam adjustments, etc.

so it's almost is if you need to 1) pick your housing, 2) see which projs fit
3) pick from these projectors . if you pick the projector THEN consider
the enclosure, you may either be disappointed, or be in for one hell of a
retro project. if the latter, this will require much more creativity, designing,
bondo, fiberglass, and misc pieces of hardware (screws, nuts, springs etc)
to fabricate a well designed HID retro package.

couple of quad HIDs were done over on HIDPlanet as well. I question the
improvement in light output in low beam....but I can certainly see how
quad bixenons would be appreciated...in high beam.
