Help needed with wheels (BRABUS)
that the backface/back side of the wheels doesn't extend as deep towards
the centerline, right?
so with wide rim/tire and low offset, does this mean the tire will stick out
beyond the fender for that Dukes of Hazzard look? if so, why would one
use spacers....as it would cause them to stick out more?
{pardon my deficiency. it's my only 'gift'. cant work story problems but I
can point to pictures and say "yeah, I want that one'}
update-
ahhhhhh.....i got it now. i was looking at the picture and after staring at
it and saying to myself "higher offset means OUT, not IN" i figured it out
(too). duhhh. okay, move along folks.....nothing to see here but roadkill

A high offset means that the wheel and tire are tucked more inside the fender. A low offset means the wheel sticks out farther (aka Dukes of Hazzard look). The proper offset for our W210 is in the +30mm to +40mm range.
The offsets of the wheels the original poster is asking about are in the +20s. In other words, the wheel sticks out about 10-15mm too far. Adding spacers only makes it stick it out farther. The only way to correct an offset that's 10-15mm too low is to grind 10-15mm of metal off the inside mounting surface of the wheel...which is never good idea.
