Synchronizing Power Windows
From my 2001 E320 Owner's Manual / Synchronizing Power Windows:
If the power supply was interrupted (battery disconnected or low) the windows cannot be opened by the Express feature.
To resynchronize the Express feature, press ^ (up) side of the power window switch until the window is completely closed and hold for an additional 2 seconds. Repeat procedure for each window.
The automatic full opening and closing procedure should now be restored.

Occasionally, my passenger and driver window, when open, and I try to express it up......gets up 3/4 of the way....and then goes back down to 1/2-----
Can that be a battery low signature??

"How does the express feature work. Here it is still cold outside but spring is coming. Thanks"
If your car has express windows, each window switch has two positions for up and down. Press lightly and hold until window is up/down to the position you want and then release. Press fully and release and window goes all the way up or down automatically.
An owners manual is really useful to get the full benefit of all of the features on these cars.
