How cool must it be to be a German EMT?

My biggest concern is space. (I am an EMT.) The Type III ambulance that I ride on (the type that has a box mounted to a van-chassis) is already fairly narrow on the inside for me, and the Type II ambulance (the van type that's a little taller than a normal van) is even worse.

On top of that, rear suspension needs to be HEAVILY upgraded for the weight of the stretcher, supplies, patient, crew, etc.

The driver's gotta be in heaven, though.
