What the hell is that buzzing?!?!?!
So I noticed when I turn my car on, there is a faint buzzing noise. It goes away about 10-30 sec. after I turn my car off - and it sounds like it "winds down" I searched all over the car for it and found exactly where it's coming from. The little console on the cieling where the lights and RV mirror are, there are what looks like two little black holes/vents looking things. One of them appears sealed (maybe for design smmetry) and the other is open and THAT'S where the noise is coming from. It almost seems like theres a tiny little fan in ther. Does anybody know what it is, and if I can turn it off? Thanks. OBTW it's a 97 E420

THere is a little motor inside that light console that I think samples the air for your HVAC system. When it wears out, it buzzes. I replaced mine on my 97 E420 and dealer was oh so happy to sell me the dam* thing for $75.
