HomeLink into my '97 E?
Anyone retro the newer 99+ rear view mirrors to their 98- E-Classes. My garage door opener is homelink equipped and my E isn't... Any solutions besides using the remote that came w/ the garage door opener?

Is something also possible for a '96 C220? It would be great to hook something up on my girl's car as well...
Thanks in Advance!

Mark, I found this unit on eBay for the C-class.

The auto-dimming feature will work and just swap the internals? Sorry if I'm being repetitive, just seems too easy

There are more options that just the rear view mirror Homelink module. The 98 E-Class had it in the drivers visor. These can be swapped for the 96 and 97 ones that had the old module. The SLK has the module apart from the mirror or the visor. All the module needs is a power connection. You can even got homelink modules from other makes of cars. I see them on ebay all of the time.
