Engine whine in sound system
Recently, I saw a post regarding fixing engine whine noise distinctable in music pauses or quiet fragments. The problem was cured by replacing amplifier by Harman Kardon. It looks like I have a similar problem. Can somebody confirm that is a common problem for E-class and how to request amplifier change from a dealer?

Guys, i'm not sure about mercedes because i've not had this problem with mine. However, most stereo shops will tell you, that if you are experiencing whine during stereo play, its due to a weak alternator, or overstressed alternator. Just a thought. My jeep did it pretty badly actually, (for a few weeks before my alternator went out, and left me stranded on the side of the road).
