Well, the time has come for my very first Benz, hurrah! It's a 1995 E320 with the Brilliant Silver color and grey interior (Yea yea, a 95' is too old for you guys but it says 1995-Present on the forum title, and... no one in the other board talks). So anyways, I just recieved this car graciously as a gift from my dad, after driving a MINI-VAN for a year and 3 months, yuck!
I have a few questions though, I want to tint the windows, and wondered if you guys have tinted windows and whether or not that devalues the car.
Also, where can I find stuff to customize my Benz? I get Bavarian Autosport, but that's for BMW, is there anything like that for Mercedes? Custom stuff meaning like a new shift *** custom rims (if i ever get enough money for those and decide to get them).
Well, I think that's all. A few final comments, after wanting to get a BMW since I could drive a car, I have seen the light...

Congratulations ...
... on your new car (boy, was the price right!)
Lots of MB owners have tinted their windows ... many have complained of scratched tint at some point down the road too. I'm definately no MB-tech, but I understand there's some kind of seal inside the door that stops water from trickling down the window and into the inner-workings of the door. This seal, sometimes scrapes against the window (and tint) each time you raise and lower the window, and with some applications, scratches it.
My advice: go to a reputable installer and make sure you get a warranty in writing that states when, where and why the installer shall replace damaged tint ... and of course, who is responsible to pay for the replacement.
By far, the best place to obtain modifications to your 'Benz is www.evosport.com : best prices, best selection and best customer service. Make sure you tell them you were refered by MBworld.org ... and if you don't see what you want, be sure to email or call ... they can get almost anything!
Hope that helps Patz,
Welcome to the Forum ... and congrats. again on your new car.
Regards,

I believe BHMA may be out of business. Since October 15th I have been trying to reach them via phone and E-mail about an order. No reply. No one answers the phone. Now the phone just gives a rapid busy signal. They never charged my account for the order, something they always did as soon as the order was placed! I have been able to locate some of their suppliers and found they were marking things up 50% or more.
