Any watchouts/advice for replacing bushings?

My front lower control arm bushings are shot, and I've ordered 2 kits. Any special watch-outs or advice from someone who has done this job on a 210?

I've done it on other cars that had bronze bushings at the lower control arm, but haven't done the job on the MB and its rubber bushings before.

I have a press and most equipment a dealer would have available.

If you have the tool to install the one-piece bushing you will be way ahead. I have seen it on ebay before. I changed mine myself and the job was a PITA without that tool. Once you see the new bushings, you will have a good idea of how the old ones come out.

I used an H-frame press to push in the one-piece bushing. The two-piece bushing can be pressed in using a large vise.

While your at it you should change the ball joints also. I just ordered upper and lower complete control arms. I"m also replacing the tie rods. I'm doing this because I never want to do this again. You might want to check your uppers because mine are shot just like the lowers.
