Brake rotors

I want to change my brake rotors to cross drilled ones. DO I need to get new pads or anything else needed besides just changing the rotor? I dont want to change the size of it just the cross drilled stock size if possible. I have a 2001 E320. I will be painting the calipers silver when I change the rotors.

Thanks. AA

I dont believe it is 100% required, but recommended that you put new pads on when changing rotors. Somthing about them breaking in together. I put on new pads about a month before my new crossdrilled rotors and they were fine.

2014 E550 4matic,, sold 2012 E 350 4matic,,sold 2010 e350 4w,sold 2002 e320 se
I just picked up brembo replacement rotors,,new Porterfield R4S,braided lines,,and gonna paint them yellow.I saw on tirerack that drilled/slotted are not warrantied against warping.SO I would go with drilled,,,less pad wear I imagine.Good luck.

i am a person who hated drilled rotors unless u have a light car with massive brakes...

i ordered powerslott slotted rotors of tirerack....definatle improvement with less brake fade and no warping.
