Hi, I have a set of 16's for the winter time, mounted with 225/55R16's, it doesn't affect the steering compared to my friend's car with the stock 215/55R16, per se, but it does affect a ride a bit, it's actually a bit stiffer, i guess because of the extra rubber on the ground. Could also be because of the P7000 supersports i have on them too. But to answer your question, no, no difference in the steering.

Two effects of mounting 225's:
1. Highway centerline wander might increase.
2. Your speedo might have a minor error (it will read SLOWER than your actual speed by a little under 2% -- not a huge difference).
