I just got in the car tonight and found the orange backlight to the climate control is out !!!! everything with the control module works.... can the backlight bulb be replaced or is this another buy a new one from the dealer.... If it can be replaced how do you get the unit out I tried taking of the wood trim on top and pull the a/c duct out but it seemed a bit difficult and I didnt want to make matters worse by breaking anything..... please help M/B Family

The control unit comes out with a couple of "keys" you slip into two slots on the front surface of it. These can be can be purchased from from a dealer's parts department. and can also be used to remove the headend of the audio system. There is a single small bulb mounted in a holder in the back of the controller. Bulb will probably have to be purchased from dealer to get the right wattage.
