Ventilated/Heats Seats v. Heated Seats

Ventilated/Heats Seats v. Heated Seats
I was looking at a 2002 E320 today with ventilated/heated seats. The ventilated seats didn't feel like they were pushing out any AC. But my butt felt minimally (and I stress minimally) cooler after a while. So is this a bogus feature? And does it affect the effectiveness of the heated portion of the seat? In my opinion it seemed that the heated portion just wasn't that hot. Although, it is a bit difficult to tell on a sweltering day.
In my old 2000 E320 (demolished by a bad driver a few months ago), the plain old heated seats kicked ***. Anyone know if there is a quality difference?
Thanks

Please re-read your title carefully, those seats are VENTILATED, not AIR CONDITIONED as in a Buick Lucerne. They don't blow out cool air when turned on. They just blow out cool air to help you with perspiration. When you turn on the heated seat feature, the ventilated seats should be blowing hot warm air.

I Have The Heated/Ventilated/Multicontour front seats on My W210 Wagon and they Work Great. The Heaters work great even on Hot days..Great for Bad backs!
Cant go wrong on the Options...Unless You find one with Heated/Ventilated AND Multicontour front seats.
