2002 E320 Special Edition

I have finally lowered my 2002 E320 last week. The springs and shocks were of a Carlsson kit for W210 where I purchased off a clearance event awhile back. In reality it is more or less H&R springs with Bilstein sport shocks though probably some custom valving and logo.
The ride is rock solid over corner and absorb bumps really well on the normal road. Body roll is almost non-existent and in fact better handling than a BMW 530i with the sport suspension. All the floating sensations off the factory suspension are gone giving me confident as a driving machine. Freeway feel is ground hugging and the car actually pursuing you to go faster and excellent in even slight rough pavement. Never bottoms out in parking lot whether it's long smooth or short sharp speed bump. This is now a true family sedan with some fun.
Though I have one warning as this may not be good where city streets are rough giving a bone jarring/pounding feel at times. In terms of ride height, I think it's sitting a little low as I wanted to maintain at least a 2 inch wheel gap. I simply install this kit without altering any spring pads and perhaps I will need to start changing to get back my ride height.
I have to thanks Kronen Tuning in Fremont which I learned from this website. They have done a great job and not to mention that it's the first time I have ever seen so many modified AMG 55's in one place. Well, first place goes to the SL55 Carlsson setup where the exhaust note, torque, power and feel are just unbelieveable. Thanks for the open top ride on a California afternoon despite the slight traffic.
Here are a few pics to enjoy...

Looks great; I'm hoping to get mine done in the next week or so, depending on scheduling.
Do have plans to change out the wheels and if so, what size and brand are you thinking?

I would not recommend in running anything lower profile than my current 235-45/17 given the pretty stiff ride. It will hurt both you and your vehicle especially on the CA road. But if you do go into low profile tires make sure you choose a good set of forged wheels to avoid bending over potholes.
As a matter of fact, I still think the car sits a bit too low as this Carlsson kit drops around 2" (from 3" wheel gap to current 1") where I am more towards a 1.5" wheel gap all around. Well, looks like it's time for some spring pads.
Good luck in your upgrade and send some pics...

Looks nice. Now you need some aftermarkert wheels and you're good to go!
Might I recommend some 18's....
