2000 E 430 Rust Problem
My '03 E430 with 80,000 miles has significant rust in various places. The dealer has ackowledged that MB has had this issue with other '00 and '01 E and S class cars.
As a result the dealer states MB is willing to split the cost of the $5k job (painting, replacing trunk lid etc.).
Dealer says in trade my car, which is otherwise fine for its age, is only worth $8k. They say it's worth $12k if repainted.
My question is do you think it's worth the hassle of having it repainted to pick up $2K? I hate to go through the trouble but I'm otherwise leaving $4k, which shouldn't be my problem, on the table. Thoughts?
