Question 17" AMG wheels on 99 E300

Will the 17" AMG Style IV, wheels(17 X7.5 front +37 offset (B6 603 1302) with 235/45R17 tires and 17 X8.5 rear +34 offset (B6 603 1340) with 245/40R17) fit within my wheel wells of a 1999 E300 DT without having to modify the lip of the fender as is recommended for 18" wheels? I assume I will have to get new lug bolts but was trying to avoid having to modify the fender lip.

Those wheels will certainly fit. You won't need custom lugbolts since the wheels you're looking at came off the SLK.

Rear tire size should be 255/40/17, not 245/40/17! Your rear tire needs to be wider to match the wider wheel.

Wheel width, offset, and lowered suspensions are what sometimes require rolling the fender lip. Some 17s (wide and low offset) require rolling fender, most 18s do not. If rolling the fender is holding you back from 18s, I suggest you visit the Tire Rack website to scope out all the 18s that fit your car without modification.

Get some 18x8 wheels w/ 235/45/18" tires and you will have the same rolling diameter as the stock 16's - no rubbing... if you fo 18x8.5, then you may have issues

18x8.5" won't rub if the offset is in the 32-35 range. I'm running 235/45/17 17x8.5" ET34 all the way around with plenty of clearance.
