New Headlamp Lenses?
I purchased a 1997 E420 with 88,000 miles on it! One of the headlamps was apperently cracked and they just replaced one side!! Looks very silly having one clear and one faded! What is the best place to get another new one for a reasonable price?
Thanks,
Troy

what about the "new lenses" they sell on ebay? are those legit? i would worry that the quality isn't anywhere near OEM. i also thought that you couldn't take the lamp assemblies apart, since there have been posts about people complaining they couldn't get to the condensation inside their headlights. is it really something you can easily do (popping the lenses off)? has anyone every replaced their lenses with the ones off ebay?

OEM headlights (particularly in this case) have removeable lens, ergo the
market on Ebay etc for replacement lens. the DEPO type, aftermarket
headlights have glued in lens....which require oven/heat application. this
is prob where you see folks talking about their frustrations about leakage,
condensation and sealing.
either way, it is possible that a bead of silicone will do the trick

very interesting - by the diagram it looks pretty easy to replace the lenses. or would that be opening a can of worms? has anyone replaced there lenses - through ebay or otherwise?
