Stereo Wiring???
1998 300 TD Saloon
Does anyone know the speaker wiring setup of this car??
It has a standard stereo and a 10 disc changer so it is still using the standard wiring.
A speaker in each door, two on the rear shelf, 2 tweeters in the dash and 2 tweeters in the doors behind the mirrors.
There must be some kind of crossovers or amplifiers splitting the sound for all the speakers!!
Anyone familiar??

I found a bunch of info on this forum about speaker wiring. I think I found the following bit on the newsgroups though:
Constant 12V+ Red/White
Switched 12V+ Black/Yellow
Ground Brown
Illumination n/a
Dimmer n/a
Antenna Trigger Blue/White
Antenna Rear Window
Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors
Left Front (+) Green
Left Front (-) Brown/Green
Right Front (+) Black
Right Front (-) Brown/Black
Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Door
Left Rear (+) Pink
Left Rear (-) Brown/Pink
Right Rear (+) White
Right Rear (-) Brown/White
