Going from OEM HID to Depo modified HID (e55AMG)...

hey guys

I am thinking about ditching stock system and going to DEPO w/ aftermarket HID xenons (6000k). I would like to get the DEPO's but i wanted to make sure my stock wiring harness could support them. Is the stock wiring harness the same for both HID and halogen or is it a completely different system. thx for the help guys.

P.S. OEM Xenon headlights up for sale if anyone is interested, make me an offer.

Yes, the OEM wiring harhness would have no problem whatsoever w/ the xenon, provided that you use the "OEM" xenon equipment (ballast & bulb), not to mention no lamp failure message.

And if you use the projector from car like BMW or Audi, with 4300K, you would get lot of purple hue color, and lot of light. Don't go 6000K, lost too much light (almost 30% less than 4300K).

I've been running the Ultinon 6K's and love the color. They are bright enough for me, even in the IE

BTW
I have a new pair of Depo year 00 - the lens already removed. Like a dumbass I bought the wrong model year. These are new, never been mounted and ready to mod. Lemme know if interested.

Hey zam, the 6000K puts out 2900 lumens, and the 4300 puts out 3100 so its really only a reduction of 6.45%. I've had good 6000K kits in the passed and been very happy thats why i wanted to go with that. Yes i know 4300k might be slightly brighter but i just don't like the color.

Also, for a time being I will be using halogen. Can i go back from OEM HID to Depo w/ halogen plug n play?? thanks Zam

I might be interested in your OEM Xenons - give me a ballpark and i'll try and needle you down . Do you have photos of them? Seems like the Xenons held up better to the weather, but i wouldn't mind seeing their condition before dolling out the $$$. Where are you located?
