Very nice

It's very nice. But, it looks very similar to the 'Sport' package. Is it different? Do you have the pic of the rear bumper? Thanks.

Phung,

My car has the "Sport" option. All I changed were the front bumper INSERTS to eliminate the yellow side marker light. The back bumper cover, side sills, and front bumper cover are factory AMG.

E420:

Removed the yellow lens and tucked the bulbs back into the fenderwells. If you remove the bulbs, you get a bulb out display at the instrument panels.

MarK:

I made a tool like you showed me from an old printer's ink knife. It was kinda flimsy. Tried prying on the insert, but got freaked out that I would break it or the mounting tabs. Took it to the local Benz shop and had them do it for me so I could watch. I takes quite a bit of force to get that initial end to come out. Only cost me $37. Thanks again for your help.

Very nice!

But I sure hope you secured those bulbs well, don't want em dangling around in there. Why did you decide on that route vs. clear side markers? Must have been pricey.

Also, looks like you've got the flat star emblem on your hood and I love those yellow brakes. Cool! Did you paint them yourself?

Yip:

I think the wheels were roughly about $1200 for a set.

MikE55:

Yes, painted the calipers myself.

Thanks guys!

Holes

Yep, JamE55, those are the dreaded front license holes. I made plugs, popped them in, and painted them silver which looks better than the holes.

But there needs to be some type of better long term solution. My car was Euro delivery and you have to run front tags while driving in Europe. DAMN!

Hey Sporty!

Your shadow, eh.....that made me chuckle. Our cars must be distant cousins or something. I bought them from a guy named Steve in The Netherlands. He can Euro parts for Benz cars over there and ships them here fairly cheap. I paid $250 a pair shipped for the inserts. Third party places here in the states (if you can find them) want $375, so I did OK. Be aware that your car has a different front bumper than mine, so price will probably be different.

Are you familiar with www.benzsport.com?

Jump on over there, find the Body Mods link and click thru there. You can find him by his MBenzNL screen name. Very nice guy, very trustworthy, very thorough. Several guys on that site recommended him to me.

Cheers!
