Question anyway to upgrade sound?

is there anyway i can run a seperate amp, to two 12's in the trunk of my car along with the stock system? i don't wanna rip anything out but i would love more bass, is there a way to do that? i want to keep the stock amp powering the speakers, in the cabin, but i know i'm gonna need a more powerful amp to make those twelves knock, so what if i just added an amp? what do u guys think? let me know!

Dude I have a similar setup to what you are looking for. Shoot me a PM for details. I can't figure out how to post pics to the forum since the upload thing is disabled. Send me a email address & I will show ya what i got in my E55.

Try audio and electronics forum

For example

Do what ever you gotta do elsewhere, but get JL Audio subwoofers, and an Alpine sub amp,and you'll be 'scraight'!!!! That one below has both, and I'm a happy MF.....

why not replace the Headunit only? the Bose amps are more than capable in handling the power

sound system

All you have to do is get a RCA converter. They sell and install in any stereo shop. Thats what I did. I kept the factory stereo and speakers and added a Rockford Fosgate Punch Power Series 12" woofer and a Rockford Fosgate Punch amp. It sounds great. With all the bass I think I'm going to buy some MB Quart component speakers for the front, to give it a crisp sound.

so?

so what do you guys think? u think i should just get that converter? and leave the headunit? i'm really scared to take out that headunit, cuz i don't want to ruin anything in the car, so maybe if i just run that amp in trunk and mount it somewhere, and here is another question, what do you guys think about those 4 holes, for those four woofers in the rear deck? i was thinkin of carving two 10" holes there, and just fitting in 2 10's what u guys think? lots of info will be appreciated.
