EC light A/C control stays on - Help!
My compressor is not coming on and th eonly moe it stays on is the economy mode. My brief research has found that it may be a bad sensor.
Any thoughts what I should do now? Thanks
a/c was blowing very cold air just prior to this happeneing.

A couple of possibilities:
1) The evaporator temperature sensor on these cars is prone to failure. Check this thread for this.
2) Symptom you have will also appear if the A/C system is low on refrigerant, e.g., a leak.
There is a pretty good set of diagnostics that can be run via the contol panel to help identify the problem. probably something in the W210 thread about those also.

Diagnostics
Correct about the diagnostics. Try the search feature, or look for threads about W210 A/C problems. I was having trouble with mine in May-June 2006 (if you want to look by date).
One member here wrote a program that you can use to plug in several of the numerical values obtained when you "ask" the car for them. It will then diagnose most of the common problems.
Good Luck!
