Noticed a small, crack about a month and a half ago, in my 00' 430- coming down above the glove box. Now, it is all the way down. Very annoying. Had a 93' range rover that had a number of cracks in it, but thought it was reasonbable considering it was that old and British! But this sucks. Has anyone else had trouble with cracking?? I don't think there is much to do to prevent it from happening to all of the other wood. I would think methods had been long developed to have kept interior wood from cracking (besides obvious impacts) but alas, not MB.

Not too sure the reason behind the cracking. But its a common problem for all of our cars. There is even a case of another member who always garaged his car and the dash still cracked. Mine is starting to crack so im also in search of a replacement/re-wrap.
You would think for a vehicle that cost 50 + grand, MB would have better wood panels to last. Mine too, has had a majority of its life garaged. This will probably be the last wood grain interior I get, even though it does look great.
