Limp Home Mode?

This question stems from this previous post/problem.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...ghlight=HOWSER

Well I finally am getting around to addressing this problem. I have a question about the "Limp Home Mode". I'm assuming that this is what I'm noticing. When I attemp to rev or move the car it will only allow me to get the rpm's up just a little bit, barely allowing the car to move.

When I get under the hood I can rev the car all the way up. Am I to assume that the cars computer is prohibiting the rpm's to go but only so high from the cabin? Limp Home Mode?

Sorry for the simple questions, this is my first experience with a Merc.

Thanks.

Eric

Yes there is. You can see the reason if you follow the link in the first post.

I was hoping someone could verify that what I was experiencing was in fact the limp home mode. I've never seen it before.

Thanks for all replies.

Eric
