2002 E430 4MATIC 0-60 performance?

hi

i've been eyeing on 2002 E430 4MATIC. Being in CO, i feel 4MATIC is a must. but 0-60 time is equally important for me

does anybody know the exact number? I googled a bit but couldn't locate the number, although I found a few vague references that it should be around low 6...

anybody knows the exact number for 2002 E430 4MATIC?

Thanks in advance.

I own a 2001 E430 4matic and have timed it in 6-6.1 seconds 0-60. Most of the torque is available at low rpms, and when you add the all wheel drive this car is far from slow. I've blown past many people at a stoplight that stare in disbelief. It's no canyon carver, but it's plenty quick.

thanks for your reply.

i like to ask you a few more questions, since you own the car i'm eyeing on.

has the car been reliable? any unexpected and costly repair so far?

my biggest worries about getting MB is reliability.

once i get a car with 50-60k on it, what kinda maintenance work should

i perform right away to keep the car up to date?

Reliability can mean a few things when it comes to this car. When I came on these boards they spelled out the common problems many of these cars have --Maf sensors, cat sensors, window regulators, ac compressors. In the three years I've had the car I'd say they were correct, as I've replaced the sensors but never had any problems with the window regulators.

Does the car ride like it's new even after 75,000 miles? Definitely

Will you have to budget about 1,000 a year for repairs? Probably

Since these cars have depreciated quite a bit, I believe the cost of repairs has been fairly discounted in the used cars price. This is a whole lot of car for the 18-22 grand you probably will spend for an 02, and I would still buy mine at those prices. I've never had a problem with anything drivetrain related in this car, it's always been those darn sensors
