I Need Wheels

When I'm alone in my room sometimes I stare at the wall
and in the back of my mind I hear my conscience call,
Telling me I need a set, made of alloy or steel.
For the first time in my life, I see I need wheels.

There I was, giggling about the lames
that folks had put on many cars, and I'm not saying no names.
Then the thought occurred, brake dust made my eyes burn
as I said to myself, "What wheels do you prefer?".

I can feel it inside, I can't explain how it feels.
All I know is that I'll never deep-dish another raw wheel.
Playing make-believe. Pretending that I'm true.
Holding in my laugh as I wish that I had a clue.

Saying "Amour.", while many websites I tour.
Whispering "Brabus, Carlsson, AMG...for sure".
Although I often reminisce I can't believe that I found,
a desire for sweet wheels floating around.

Inside my soul because, my soul is cold.
One-half of me deserves to be this way till I'm old.
But the other half, needs smooth auto-mobiles
and the game that is created with a Benz and some wheels.

I need Wheels.

As my song would suggest, I need wheels.

I'm having a VERY hard time finding a set that I like that is available for less than a ca-jillion dollars.

Here's what I'm interested in:

- Silver or aluminum finish (no chrome)
- Lip (I prefer step lip to flat, but I'll take both)
- 18"
- A full/fat face like the AMG Monoblock, or the MAE Crown Jewel. Not skinny-spoked wheels that show the whole caliper.
- Multi-piece look as opposed to single piece.
- I prefer something somewhat understated and not gaudy.
- Has to look like they belong on a W210

Some favorites so far:
- AMG Monoblock II
- Brabus Multipiece III and IV
- The old AMG Hammer multi-piece

Any suggestions?

nice "ode" to wheels!
If I had time, I would do one in a Hyiaku or however you spell it!!
I am in the same predictament, and like the same style you have mentioned. Love the Brabus multi piece and have found alot of "non-brand" named replicas, at great prices. jsut cant take the plunge!
Tirerack had some 18' AMG that look great, on sale.

But alas, I look, and I look and times is a ticking-
no new rims without doing some wife butt kissing
we need this and need that- "pretty pillows" on tha bed,
guess I'll stick with the stock, til the tires bare with tread.
