car purchase: 2003 E320 or 2002 E320 (W210)?

car purchase: 2003 E320 or 2002 E320 (W210)?
hi guys, I'm considering buy either a 2002 E320 (W210 body) or 2003 E320 (W211). Obviously the W221 looks more modern, has updated interior, and is a whole newer generation car. But is the 2002 W210 more reliable & more solidly built? Any input appreciated.

The 02 w210's are much more sorted out and reliable when compared to the 2003 211 that has had a myriad of problems and recalls. I would get the W210 as it is definitely more reliable than the 03 w211's

Just to let you know, up until 2005, the E320 W210 and W211 share the same engine (M112) and transmission, so there's not much gain between 2002 and 2003, except that the w211 have newer style. Only on the 2004 on that the W211 offer command gateway (noticable better interior).
And I know number say otherwise, but both my wife and I agree that the W210 offer more room than the W211. W211 has much bigger trunk though. And have I mentioned the pathetic SBC brake on the W211, especially on the 03-04 model ??? It's the worst that I've seen.
My 04 W211 have a manual tuning for climate control, compare to the LCD display for the W210 A/C, go firgure. We got the W211 kinda fully loaded, and still feel though it's more morden & fancy, it's not as well built as the W210
And if you're into mod, the standard din in the W210 offer lot of options, with the W210, there's not much choice

u should go test drive both car urself and feel it.. back to few month ago i also went to test drive the new W211.. the feeling give me W211 isnt that solid than the w210 and it's feel like i'm drive a jap car.. but if u going for out look then i can say the w211 is much better than the w210..

If he decide to get a W211, I think by now all the recalls should be taken care of by the previous owners and should be a reliable ride for him. OR are the "recalls" unlimitted? Are they still having more recalls???
