Oh

one more thing! i have just installed a 420 watt amp in my e420, and i left everythign stock i just added one 12 for more bass, sounds awesome, but i had a question. u guys reccomend me getting a capacitor, so i don't strain the electtical system on the car, at night, not much, u gotta really pay attention to notice, and interior lights kinda dim when the bass, hits, but the head light, and all other exterior light sstay strong, tell me what u guys think! thansk guys!

your new sound system is not grounded properly, what you're hearing is interference from the alternator. if you start the car and you hear the whining, turn the radio off, and it will go away... that will mean it's DEFINITELY your system.
it's arguable how much capacitors help, but in my personal experience, it helped with the lights dimming and also it DOES cut down the whine a little bit. i disconnected it, and now can't listen to the system because the whine is so bad.
a real fix is a newer/better battery like an optima, and a bigger alternator. i would try to make sure that the system is grounded properly and put a capacitor in there and see if it helps, that would be the easier fix.
also, make sure your power cables are not running next to your speaker wires, ideally they should be on opposite sides of the car.
i'm speaking from personal experience, i ran my power wire with my speaker wire, and didn't ground the head unit properly, and now i have the terrible whine. like i said, when i had the cap attached, the whine was significantly less than it is now.

What about a noise suppressor (coil) in series on the positive wire? If in fact it is engine noise.

Thumbs up been there

This happens sometimes when new plugs or cheap wires were replaced. If thats not the case then I would suggest a in-line noise suppressor that goes on the hot wire.
