So, whose had the squeeky steering TSB done?

So, whose had the squeeky steering TSB done?
Well, with the weather being cold, the steering wheel squeek is getting to be annoying as hell. Dealer quoted $285, which seems fair to me.

The TSB is P46.20.12 from July 03, which consists of the new boot, and new grease, shown here

So, anyone that has had it done, did it fix the problem?

The other option was a $2300 rack replacement, which id prefer to avoid.
