How to spot a Lorinser "fake"?

I've got a friend looking at a 2002 W210 Lorinser. How can you tell if someone just slapped badges and the ground effects on it? Or, is that all a Lorinser is? I've done a search on the net to find pics and info on this, but theres nothing that I've seen that can determine a "real" lorinser from glued on parts.

Also, I've seen some websites that mention an ID plate that Lorinser puts on the engine. What is the proper placement, and what is the purpose? Is a Lorinser engine any different than a stock Mercedes engine other than the plate?

What wheels were available for the 2002 Lorinser?

Also, is there a good source for Lorinser parts? One of the sideskirts is damaged.

Thanks.
