Oh BTW Jimmy...those 1/16 BE's are nasty...no lip and on the heavy side - go UL (ok they are expensive :P )or don't go 1/16's, not fitting for an AMG IMO. Oh, and I just remembered, I do know the exact spacer to use as I had recently fitted an W210 E AMG with those exact wheels.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Dave, you're right, I too thought that the center stuck out a bit much and I need a beefy lip for the "beastly" look! Got any pics. of the E that you fitted?

I do Jimmy - will need to dig em out for u. The wheels came off an R171 SLK - I thought the offset wouldn't work but turned out it was just right, perfect fender alignment but no rubbing. The car was one of those rare E36's and not 55, but the required offsets shouldn't be any different.

If we're comparing OEM Carlssons to Mayas; sorry but Carlsson are twice as expensive as Mayas are. I would love to consider HRE as those are probably my favorite wheels but they are way overpriced for my liking at the moment. I'm not in a hurry so I will keep my eyes and ears open for a deal! Thanks everyone...

Sorry D, these are the only ones I have of the car..should show u how the fender alignment looks at least...

(P.S. for those wondering, the E36 is no more than a regular E with the old C36 engines left after the C36 was replaced plus some minor AMG mods..nothing to be too excited about IMO)

the ones pictured look like the eBay replicas... this is based on what i'm looking at, not sure if you were going for authentics or replicas, but the one you pictured are replicas because of the mercedes centercaps, in that case i would get the Mayas, plus the Mayas have a pretty big lip.

Yes you are right, the ones I posted are replicas but I didn't have a decent pic. of the OEM Carlsson and these were close enough, lol. Yeah, I need to get wheels with a deep a$$ lip!

Yeah, those are nice wheels but not enough lip! Now I see what you were saying. I am going to have to just keep looking! Thanks!

Dave, you never cease to amaze me!!! What a freakin great comparison huh! Wow, now looking at these pics. I would have to say that I like the more aggressive look that the Maya's are offering. The Carlssons are beautiful with more of a classier expensive look and the Supermesh are really "racey" looking. Now the decision just got tougher. Maybe I'll nix the whole silver look and go with some Mayas in black! I dunno, the Maya's are looking pretty good right now. Thanks Davey boy!

Bwaaaaaaaaaaahahaha, that's the first thing I did. I took off that fugly IMO big star grill and put on a brand new Avantgarde (hope I spelled that right) grill back to the OEM clean look. Made a huge difference IMO.

Wow, I love the black Maya's and now my hunt starts to find a set for a decent price. Even if I can find a good quality after market set staggered I'm down! I just spent a crap load of cash on a new rifle and hunting accessories (expensive crap) that I'm a bit strapped...

Yeah man, HUNTING! I'm going on a wild boar hunt this weekend and I needed a new rifle among other things. I also just ordered a new Glock 45 and also a "dirty Harry" looking 44 magnum revolver that is just insanely huge but perfect for dropping big game if they charge, hehehe.

No new rolexes, I still have the same SS Submariner and my Breitling 2T Chronomat GT. Bought the wife the Escalade, some new diamonds and an Omega she wanted. See what marriage does to you!!!

hubert, if you're serious just let me know and I'll ask a cousin of mine who is in the watch business. If you don't mind preowned I know he gets some nice deals from time to time.
