E320 rear window inop
I have read the posts about fixing the regulator. My question concerns the airbag in the door. Is there anything I need to do to disable it before working on the door? Any other tips or tricks concerning this job? Does anyone have the part number for the regulator? Thanks!

You can disconnect the battery if you feel more safe but you will not set the airbag off. Buy just the regulator and not the motor and regulator to save money. The motors hardly ever go bad. You can find them on ebay or do a search on the web. The dealership will look up the part so you don't need the part number. It is a common problem so once you say that you have a W210 window not working or that it has fallen down in the door, they will pull up the regulator and motor combo part number. Tell them you don't need the moter or just get it on the web to save even more. Might get one for the other side because it is not far away from doing the same thing.
