need help - cannot remove plastic molding on trunk lid

need help - cannot remove plastic molding on trunk lid

instead of 3 philips screws that hold the plastic trim in place, my car has 2 philips screws and 1 without anything to turn on. i'm stumped, i've tried to pull the trim really hard but nothing. how am i supposed to remove this thing???

HOly ****, I had the same exact problem. One of my brake lights kept going out and we had to get back there. The only way...to my knowledge(and my mechanics) is to go from the inside and seperate the lid from the carpet...not too hard....but complicated....thats the only way


i thought it was only me

hey, thanks for the info. so is there a nut that holds the bolt down on the other side?? it looks like i might be able to get to the nut without removing the whole carpeting, maybe just the front part.

Threaded inserts, not nuts.
