Blaupunkt Long Beach DVD35
I was thinking about getting this head unit. From what I gather the Blaupunkt brand are just plug & play no extras needed.
Edit: I have 99 e320. I searched through this board. I seen the posts about getting the vw harness. I was hoping with the Blaupunkt hu I wouldnt have to worry about all of that. Im not worried about losing the changer options since tis a dvd player & I dont have steering wheel controls.

And yes, Blaupunkt is simply PnP.
You might able to dig out my post from last year about install Blaupunkt while I still have my W210.

However, if you have Bose system, you will need voltage converter.
DVD35 and most after market HU has 4V of preamp power, which is much higher than Bose's 1 Volts input. (pro-long use will likely to kill your bose amp that also creats lots humming and clicking noise when turn on)
Install voltage converter is NOT hard and inexpensive as well.
