Retro Bi-Xenon Project is taking shape, but questions...

I wanted to know about the wiring schematic for the solenoid, D2S bulb/ballast, and high and low beam. I know that the solenoid is going to be wired in parallel with the high beam. The low beam is going to be wired to the ballast/D2S bulb. Is it this simple? And the plug on the outside of the headlight assembly plugs readily with the factory harness. Is this correct? Does anyone have a diagram for this to verify?

from memory, that is correctly described above: when the high beam sends
voltage to the HIGH leads, it simply trips the solenoid. it's that simple.

if you're buying an aftermarket headlight, presumably, the oval shaped
connector is a straight forward match to the factory harness...which
terminates into matching oval plug.

the only thing tricky that i can recall is that the aftermarket oval spade
connectors can be flimsy and if it's off center, it may be inadvert pushed
out of the housing's connector...and will not make solid connection to the
wiring harness plug. so look for this if not all lights are functioning.

also, the high tension plug/lead from the ballast and which plugs in to the
back of the D2S should be a 90º. that gives it the slimmest profile from
which to clear the back cover of the headlight. if it isn't a 90º fitting, then
you may find yourself having to fabricate a separate weather resistant
cover.

i dont have a schematic. i just crimped on the 3m inline splice connectors
to the HIGH beam leads and to the small solenoid leads.
