That doesn't look to be different from the ones on e-bay for $.99 plus about $12 in shipping and they're barely worth it even at that price. Drop a Green or K&N filter in your airbox and your car will be much happier. Even with a heat shield that filter isn't a real CAI. The snorkle on your stock intake does a better job of pulling in cool air than you'll ever get from under the hood.

On most Mercedes, their intakes can suck in much more air then a cold air intake. The reason would be because the cold air intake sits near the motor, thus pulling in warm air.....yet they look awsome.

u can design a custom intake that can suck in air much better than the stock airbox as long as u follow the route of the stock airbox

besides he has a heatshield which should protect it from the heat

the head shield is nice and so is the cold air intake but, IMO i think that the little scoop popping out of the grille sucking in cold air works the best for me.....also have a turbo so it would be a pain to route an intake from the turbo to the outside. In this case for me, stock is better

well FWIW the heat shield i made worked like a charm and only on extreamly hot days would i feel a slight loss. loved the sound the m113.940 makes uncorked

The head shield is a clever idea, I wold consider buying it but IMO the heat shield is useless in my motor because it wouldn't fit!!!!!! Make one for a turbo, and you'll get a sale
